CRT LifeScan Bluetooth Infrared Probe

A custom-manufactured handheld contact probe. The Infrared Probe and the Bluetooth Infrared Sensor are a single device: the probe tip is placed on the skin at each of the 119 standardized measurement points — before and after the cold challenge — while the Melexis MLX90614 non-contact infrared sensor inside reads the skin-surface temperature. The built-in Bluetooth radio sends every reading straight to your laptop or desktop workstation. No cables between probe and computer.

Sensor & system specifications

The sensing element is a Melexis MLX90614 infrared thermometer, in versions that comply with the ASTM specification for infrared thermometers used to determine patient temperature.
